At Bark Avenue Daycamp we want to be your dog’s “Home Away from Home”. Offering the largest indoor/outdoor daycare and boarding facility in the area, your dog will have plenty of room to run and play with other dogs and staff. Whether your dog is boarding with us while you’re away, just spending the day in daycare, or being trained by our dog trainer, they will go home happy, tired, and well socialized. If after all that playtime you’d like your favorite pooch to have a little “spa” time, be sure to set up a grooming appointment for them as well. All of our staff is highly trained with their number one priority always the safety, health, and happiness of your dog. Stop in to see the staff and facility; also come by to check out the selection of Fromm Family Foods! They can help you with any questions or needs.

Bark Avenue wants each owner to be 100% comfortable leaving their beloved pet in our hands while they are away. With owner approval, dogs being boarded at Bark Avenue will be allowed to play in the Daycamp during operating hours and will only be in their individual kennels when they are eating or sleeping. Although our front desk is closed on major holidays, we are fully staffed for dog boarding  365 days a year. What this means for you is that even on a holiday like Christmas or Thanksgiving, your dog will not be kept in a kennel all day. For our boarding dogs, these holidays are no different than any other day – full of lots of playtime and fun.

Prior to boarding, owners will be encouraged to give us a detailed schedule for their dog so the staff at Bark Avenue can maintain a routine the dog is already accustomed to (i.e. eating twice a day). Also make special note of any allergies your dog may have. Does your dog take daily medication or shots? That’s no problem for us and there is never an additional fee for these services. We want to take care of your dog like you would. We also welcome the owners to call Bark Avenue staff for updates on their pet.

While we provide each dog with a blanket to keep them warm and comfy while boarding, owners are welcome to bring toys (the non squeaking kind please), treats, or bedding from home to be placed in their kennel with them. While we inventory everything you bring, it is always helpful to label as much as possible with your last name.

Doggie daycare at Bark Avenue is a fun place for your dog(s) to participate in activities, interact with other dogs and be cared for by highly skilled professionals. Doggie daycare is for dogs four months (or as soon as they have all of their vaccines) and older of any breed or size. The highly trained staff will use their training techniques to maintain order and control to ensure a safe and stress free environment for all the daycare attendees.

Many of our daycare clients bring their dogs here to get them the exercise they otherwise might not get. Most dogs need more than a walk or two a day to fully expend all of their energy and daycamp is a way for them to do that while having a great time. Also, may of our clients have full time jobs, family, and other demands on their time so it’s a relief to know they can bring their dog(s) to us and we will take good care of them during the day. By the time they pick them up at the end of the day, everyone is ready for a relaxing evening at home.

At Bark Avenue Daycamp, we provide both obedience and behavioral training. The dog trainer’s ability to build a trusting relationship with dogs of all sizes and breeds makes her a very effective trainer, capable of addressing even the toughest issues. As a dog owner, you will work with the trainer to learn the skills necessary to bring out the best in your pet and to ensure that they are well behaved at all times. You will learn the importance of providing leadership to your dog in addition to the love and affection they already receive from you. Above all, you’ll build a relationship based on trust and respect. Combining leadership with love and affection creates an unbreakable bond between you and your pet.

For any dog, getting groomed can be a very stressful event. At Bark Avenue Daycamp, we try to eliminate as much of that stress as possible. When your dog is groomed by our very experienced groomers they will enjoy one on one attention the entire time. There is no long waiting for their turn to get  bathed, no cage drying, no long waiting to be picked up, in fact, there is no long waiting for anything. At Bark Avenue our goal is to make grooming a pleasant experience for both you and your dog. Our goals is to get your dog into the groomer almost immediately upon drop off. Their first stop is directly into the tub or onto the grooming table depending what kind of grooming services you have requested. Each dog is bathed individually and then hand blown dry. We take special precautions to keep the noise and air of the dryer out of your dog’s ears because we have yet to find a dog that likes it! We tailor our work to fit your dog’s needs. We groom many large dogs most of whom are nervous to be on a grooming table due to their size. In these cases, we simply work on the floor; it’s important to us that your dog stay stress free and happy. Planning on having your dog in daycare? Is your pooch boarding with us? Just schedule a grooming appointment while they are already here and pick them up clean and tired. Our prices are based on the individual breed, so there are too many to list.
