What testing, quality, and safety measures are taken at Fromm?

For more than 5 generations Fromm has earned your trust by offering foods using quality ingredients, meticulous preparation, and standards with a diligent and dedicated staff. Our products are carefully crafted in our family-owned-and-operated facilities in Wisconsin which allows us full control of knowing what goes into every product, the origins of our top-quality ingredients, when it was manufactured, and that it passed all checks and balances before being sent into distribution.

Part of the overall commitment we have to you — the pet parent— and to your pet is our dedication to producing high quality, safe and consistent pet foods. We have made food safety our highest priority and have implemented HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) programs in our manufacturing plants. HACCP is a comprehensive preventative program used to identify vulnerabilities and establish documented controls to alleviate potential issues.

Our safety procedures include an approved supplier program, on-site raw ingredient and in-process testing, and using an accredited third-party laboratory to test finished dry foods and extruded treats for pathogenic bacteria. All canned dog and cat foods are thermally processed, hermetically sealed, and rendered commercially stable, to secure against the entry of microorganisms. In addition, our canned foods undergo an incubation period to further ensure their safety from pathogenic bacteria. All products, dry, canned, and treats alike are held on-site until all quality checks are complete and the batch is cleared for distribution.

As a fifth-generation family-owned-and-operated company, we are committed to providing the safest, highest quality pet products for your family.
