Hollywood Feed is a natural and holistic pet specialty retail store with a strong focus on customer service and improving the lives of pets everywhere. We began as the local feed store on the corner of Hollywood Street in Midtown Memphis. We counted the Zoo, the shelter, and the local Police force as our original house accounts. Over the next three decades, it was the place to get pet food, good advice, and friendly service. In the 80s, as the city closed in around Hollywood Feed, the store began focusing on household pets. After being customers for many years, the new owners acquired Hollywood Feed with the intention of building on this great legacy.
We host basic obedience classes Saturday morning at the Keith Bridge location.
I want to thank everyone for such a warm welcome as we begin grooming at the Keith bridge road location! I have loved dogs with a passion since I was a little girl. I knew the name and breed of every dog in our neighborhoods before I knew the name of the kid next door. I had too much trouble with the sciences to go to Vet school so gave up the idea of vet school, got a bachelors degree in psychology and worked in that field for many years, working at different times with adolescents, terminally ill individuals, and alcoholics and drug addicts.
In my late 30’s my life changed and a series of what I believe to be God inspired coincidences led me into grooming and showing in dog shows. Doing this feels like a calling and I LOVE what I do. I’m kind, gentle, and patient and have a wealth of knowledge in dog care including skin care, coat care, and styles. I look forward to meeting many more of you. I will be posting regularly on issues related to my field. If you have specific questions or even wonderful stories about your dogs I would like to hear it.
We supply towels, shampoos, conditioners, brushes, and even a fur dryer with two different settings. You don’t have to worry about the frustration of cleaning up after the bath either; the employees at Rucker Pet & Wild Bird will clean up behind you!
Dogs are welcome to jump or swim. Owners are welcome to swim with the dog; however, NO HUMANS JUMPING OFF THE DOCK. Humans must use the ramp to enter and exit the water.
Hours of operation will be during regular store hours and visits are by appointment only. Appointments will run from straight up on the hour until 10 minutes before the next hour. (I.E. 10:00 am until 10:50 am). Participants must exit the area promptly at 10 minutes before the hour.
