At our Grayslake “Unkennel,” we make you and your pup feel as comfortable as possible during the time that you are away from each other. For your pup, sleepovers at The Bark are slumber parties with all of their friends in familiar surroundings. As your dog’s home away from home, we know your dogs and they know us, which reduces the stress, separation anxieties and other concerns associated with traditional dog kennel and dog boarding settings.

Every member of our dog expert staff is put through our Central Bark® Doggy Day Care Certification Program which covers animal behavior, socialization,  obedience training, canine first aid and CPR to ensure the safety of every guest left in our care. Also, every dog placed in our care undergoes a comprehensive behavioral assessment before being placed with any other dogs. This is to ensure compatibility in play style and sociability, and allows the consistency that every dog needs to feel confident and safe.

For onsite obedience classes with your furry friends, we do offer classes in the evenings with Debbie Robinson. Debbie is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA). She is also an AKC approved Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. She offers many classes, including Puppy Socialization, Adolescent Manners, Into to Agility, Canine Good Citizen and many many more!
