In 2005 owners Ken and Robin’s Golden Retriever, Spencer, was diagnosed with Cancer. They began researching proper nutrition to see if through diet Spencer’s life could be prolonged. Spencer lived for an additional 13 months before he passed. Ken & Robin believe it was through diet, strong will and lots of love that they were able to have him with them for that length of time.

In doing their research on dog nutrition, they couldn’t believe what they found. They decided to make it their mission to help people understand that they had a choice when it came to proper nutrition. And, that it could be affordable. So, in May of 2007, they opened Bark Avenue El Dorado Hills. In October 2013, Robin and Ken added a second location in Rocklin.

Bark Avenue is dedicated to bringing you and your pets high quality products and services. We carry a complete line of all natural, healthy and safe foods and treats. All of our complete diets are free of corn, wheat, soy, artificial preservatives, food dyes, and by-products. Our foods are made with wholesome ingredients and are fed to our own pets every day! We also carry vitamins and supplements, raw food, herbal remedies, shampoos and conditioners, fun collars and leashes, comfy beds and a wide selection of toys!

Our staff is specially trained in holistic pet nutrition, proper fitting of harnesses and collars, training techniques, and other helpful tips and tricks. We will help you one-on-one in figuring out what food or product is best for your pet because proper pet nutrition is our priority!

Bark Avenue provides full service by appointment only grooming.

We offer by appointment scheduling to limit the time your pet is at the groomer and to ensure your pet receives the individual attention they deserve. We also specialize in first time puppy grooming and senior dog grooming. We take the time required for your pet to ensure they have a positive experience.

When you bring your pet to Bark Avenue, you meet directly with the groomer to discuss your specific needs.
