The Hydrant Hotel is a state-of-the-art dog facility boasting four acres of finely groomed grounds with a nature walk, 68 luxury suites, full-service grooming facilities, with 1,000 square feet of retail space offering high quality products for dogs and cats. Grab a complimentary cup of Aldo's Coffee when you drop off your beloved pet or come by to use our dog park. The Hydrant Hotel is located in Riverhead, New York at the gateway to the North and South Forks.

Dog boarding with Hydrant Hotel is like a vacation for your four-legged friend. We provide a safe, fun environment for group play, while also offering all dogs their own room for privacy, comfort and a little “me time.” There are three types of rooms available, each with natural lighting and tempered glass doors to give your pet the utmost comfort and security.

With pet sitting, your dog may only get one or two visits per day. We know you’re the best caregiver for your companion, but we like to be the best while you’re away—because we love dogs.

Hydrant Hotel offers amenities that simply aren’t available with most pet-sitting services. Instead of missing you, your pet will enjoy the opportunity to meet other dogs. All Day Play is available at a discounted rate for well-mannered, socialized dog boarding guests. Individual Play is also available for companions that prefer more specialized attention.

Every Hydrant Hotel guest gets individual attention, exercise, snuggling and play in our huge 14,000 sq. ft. play area complete with indoor and outdoor space.

We separate dogs by size and temperament, and everybody gets time, attention, and lots of space. Little dogs and shy dogs are no exception!! Dogs can romp on playground equipment and play with other guests out in the sun or nap on Hydrant Hotel cots when they get tuckered out. Our state-of-the-art climate control system keeps the play area warm in winter and cool in summer. The grass-like turf outside is soft and cool on their paws, and the rubber flooring indoors provides cushioning for their joints, and light, fun music is provided by to keep our guests content throughout the day.

As part of our day care and boarding services, our trained staff monitor the health of your dog’s ears, teeth, skin and coat daily, and we will alert you if we find anything that may warrant further examination by a veterinarian.

Our experienced, caring spa partners make your pet’s visit both safe and enjoyable. Start your pet off with dog grooming options such as tooth brushing, or a dog bath. Next, add spa treatments like a pedicure or brush-out that pamper and style your pet.

Our spa partners always have your dog’s well-being in mind. That’s why we also offer fitness activities to keep your four-legged family member healthy and active. Before a bath, have your pet play in our day care, For the dog that can’t get enough attention, schedule an individual play session before a grooming appointment. We have a variety of options to help make your dog’s spa visit active and healthy.

Our spa partners know when it’s time to pamper, when it’s time to exercise, and when it’s time for a little rest and relaxation. Our spa treatments can also include a luxurious rubdown for your pet. And if your dog is staying overnight at Hydrant Hotel, we can deliver turn-down service, complete with a tummy rub, right in the comfort of your pet’s suite.
