About Us+
Dave's Soda & Pet City had its modest beginnings in the bay of an empty gas station. Dave Ratner, Owner and CIO (Chief Instigating Officer), recalls, "I started the soda company, Dave’s Soda City, in 1975. About three years later, I was in a supermarket, and noticed that they had more pet food than soda. I thought, hey, What a great idea for a store."
Today, Dave's Soda and Pet City has grown into a mini chain of 7 superstores with more than 150 employees! Dave's has become synonymous with pet supplies and awesome, doggone great customer service! Our employees are Pet- Friendly, knowledgeable, experienced and can help you find exactly what you need. In further recognition of Dave’s importance to the retail industry. In 2012 Dave was inducted into the Massachusetts Retail Association's Hall of Fame.

Is your pooch a stinky, dirty mess after a trip to the dog park? Is she a mud puppy? Does she seek out and roll in smelly garbage, no matter how often you tell her that you'd rather she wouldn't?! If you're tired of kneeling to give your pup a bath in the family tub, or you think the hose out front is too chilly this time of year, come to Dave's and give your dog a wash (and your back a rest!). We have Dog Wash Stations in all of our locations!
