Busch Pet Products began as an online-only retailer in late 2008. Owner Stacy Busch knew she wanted to stay in the dog world, but didn't see herself showing dogs full-time, as she had with her professional handler parents for many years. The online store morphed from blingy collars to natural pet food very quickly and when Stacy realized she was delivering as much dog food locally as she was selling online, it was time to open a brick and mortar location. That location was only 700 square feet, and within the year, the store was moved to an 1800 square foot location with a self-service dog wash.
In May 2021, the store moved into their dream location, an adorable strip mall just down the road from the previous location that they occupied for over 10 years. This 4400 sq.ft. store has everything you need for your dog or cat, and has a 5-tub self-service dog wash and a party room for seminars, events, and pet birthday parties!
Stacy and her staff have taken many pet nutrition courses from the Academy of Natural Health Sciences and Dogs Naturally University and they consult pet parents in proper nutrition for dogs and cats daily. Consultations are always free! The store is open 7-days a week and the wash is open every day until one hour before the store closes.
We offer overnight boarding for dogs and cats at our sister business, Busch's Kennel (www.buschskennel.com), which has been in continuous operation since 1972! Our family lives on site. Each dog has his own individual indoor/outdoor run and the kennel is centrally heated and air-conditioned. Cats have their own personal 4-story cat condo, with a windowed loft.
We offer doggie day care at our sister business, Deer Creek Doggie Day Camp (www.deercreekdoggie.com). We are a whole new experience for your dog with low ratios of Campers (dogs) to Counselors (employees) and we offer a highly interactive experience for each dog that comes to Camp. And ask us about a boarding and play option with Busch's Kennel!
We offer a wide variety of training options at our sister business, Deer Creek Doggie Day Camp (www.deercreekdoggie.com), located next door to the store, as well as seminars at the store. Our Counselors are certified in training and behavior and offer everything from puppy class to agility. Our Puppy Pow Wow socialization program is unique to southeast Missouri. Our puppy trainer, Jessica Kuehn, completed the Puppy Start Right program through the Karen Pryor Dog Training Academy and works hard to make sure her puppies are socialized and well-adjusted.
We also work exclusively with Shelly Wood Dog Training (www.shellywoodbahavior.com). She offers small group classes at our doggie day care next door to the store and has a seminar series that we host here at the store.
Our self-service dog wash has five elevated stations with temperature-regulated water and a hair dryer. Each customer gets to choose a shampoo and conditioner from extensive menu and we also have optional treatments available, including deshedding, detick/deflea, deskunk, coconut oil treatment, mud treatments from Madra Mor, and a soothing foot bath.
Someone is available every Saturday, 1-3 p.m. for nail trims and anal glands, for $12 and $15 respectively.
Our Welcome Home adoption bundle is free to anyone adopting a dog or cat from a certified shelter or rescue group within the last three months. Bundles include food, treats, supplements, a free wash, and much more. Value of each bundle is $100-150!

We offer delivery in the Cape Girardeau and Jackson area for only $5! Delivery minimum is $50 and in most cases, we can deliver the same day.

We have an extensive cat department, which includes a great selection of American-made food and treats, which includes kibble, canned, freeze-dried and frozen raw.
We also carry a full line of enrichment toys for busy kitties. We try to seek out small companies with uniquely designed cat toys to keep your cat or kitten happy and occupied. We are experts in cat nutrition as well as dog nutrition and can help cat owners choose the right food and treats so your cat can live a long, healthy life.
