Gladieux Do It Best Home Center

With $50 to their name and a used dump truck, Gladieux Coal Company was founded by Cousins Herb and Leo Gladieux at 5541 Navarre Ave in 1938.  The business was a success, and by 1950 they had to relocate to a larger facility.  The new location was 5501 Navarre Ave.  Here, the Gladieux Family expanded the coal company by providing alternative heating equipment which included Coleman oil furnaces.  

In 1957 Herb's son Ronald joined the business and expanded into hardware and lumber.  In 1964 Daniel Gladieux, Leo's oldest son entered the family business.

Fast forward to 1994 and Ron and Dan Gladieux were ready to take on a new challenge-condominiums.  Doing business as Condominiums by Gladieux, the demand for condominiums was overwhelming.  Their first subdivision featured 20-2 family condominiums. We now have completed 4 subdivisions and built over 100 condominiums.

On September 7th, 1999 Gladieux Lumber opened its "Do-It Best" Home Center at 5120 Navarre Ave. in Oregon.  The complex included a 22,000 square feet retail center and 45,000 square feet of lumber storage facilities with customer drive thru lanes.  The new store features an even greater selection of hardware, plumbing, electrical, paint, and other home improvement supplies.  

In 2009 we seized another opportunity and expanded into interior design and home remodeling.  We now began offering a full interior design experience with professional consultations and all of the products to back up the service.  We offer flooring, cabinets, countertops, blinds, custom draperies, upholstery, paint and anything else that will make your house a "home".

In 2012 Gladieux Home Center once again answered the demand of their customers with the launch of their expanded pet department Planet Pet.  Planet Pet specializes in premium and super premium dog and cat foods.  We also have a great selection of Wild Bird Seed, Bird Feeders, and suet.  

March 2015 Gladieux Home Center is proud to announce they have added handheld power equipment and mowers to our already impressive lineup of outdoor power equipment.  We have what your looking for both residential and commercial:  zero-turn mowers, ride on tractors, push mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and tillers.  0% financing is available on select equipment.

We now can service your lawn equipment and snow thrower too.  We offer lawn mower tuneups, lawn mower blade sharpening, and lawn mower repair.  You can also get your snow thrower tuneup and repaired here.  We have a fully stocked parts department and two mechanics on staff.

Everything you need is provided shampoo, conditioner, flea rinse, blow dryers, and towels. Prices start at $12.00 for 10 minutes.
