About Us

Julie’s life has gone to the dogs!

After growing up on a farm in North Dakota and achieving a successful corporate career, Julie Neva decided to return to her love of animals. Inspired by her Golden Retriever, Chewy, and discovering an enchanting community in the heart of Denver’s Lowry neighborhood, she opened “Chewy’s Bonetique” in 2004. Gone are the days of suits and heels, exchanged for sneakers and blue jeans to forever romp on the floors with beloved fur children.

Our mission is quite simple: To help you provide the best possible care for your dogs and cats so that you and your furry family members can enjoy long, happy and healthy lives together.

Chewy’s Bonetique is one of the top independent specialty pet supply establishments in Colorado, and we are pleased to have seen so many of our customers grow up from young pups and kittens to mature, happy adults. To help our less fortunate fur children, foods are donated on a regular basis to local rescue organizations and pantries. Chewy's Bonetique is also honored to be a long-time partner of Children's Hospital Colorado and their amazing Prescription Pet program. Through events such as Wine & Wags, Donor Dash, and Little Hearts, we help showcase the role therapy dogs play in the comfort and recovery of young patients.

We are extremely proud to support many local Colorado manufacturers of collars and leashes, shampoos, treats, and raw diets. We are also excited to have our own “Bonetique” line of cookies - please stop by the store and we’d love to show them to you!

Services

Grooming

Let us do the work for you!

We offer full service grooming as well as basic bath and brush out services, by appointment. We wash your dog with premium shampoos to clean and deodorize their coat. Each dog receives our signature Blueberry Facial and soothing massage, as well as ear cleaning. We use lavish conditioners to make your dog’s coat soft and shiny. High velocity blow-dryers get your pet completely dry and remove loose fur. All dogs are considered finished when a fine-tooth comb glides through their entire coat. A pawdicure (nail trim, sanitary trim, and breed-specific cut completes the look!

Dog Wash

Avoid having to clean up at home by using our “do it yourself” dog wash

Experience the fun of giving your dog a bath at Chewy’s self-service bathing facility. Baths include our signature South Bark Blueberry Facial. We provide all the supplies, including aprons, quality shampoos and high velocity dryers, and we clean up the mess. All you need to bring is yourself and a dirty dog! Tubs are designed for easy access, accommodate dogs of all sizes and are elevated to minimize back strain. A great place for seniors and Great Danes or Mastiffs!

Start a Chewy's Frequent Bather's Card and your 7th bath is free! We can also trim your dog's nails for an additional charge. Self serve dog washes are available on a first come, first served basis, and nail trims can be done on a walk-in basis. Dog washes must be completed 30 minutes before the store closes to give us time to tidy up for the next day.

Curbside Pickup

Curbside pickup is available if you’d prefer. Please call 303-344-2663 to order/pay over the phone, and we'll bring your purchases to your car when you arrive.
